Aluminium products

Aluminium window frames got their popularity in the later half of the 20th century. Recently new technology developed providing new possibilities and advantages thus moving Aluminium frames back to time. Aluminium windows have paticular benefits and usefulness and have gained an increased market share for commercial window applications over recent years. An aluminium frame has one major asset and that is its strength. This means greater flexibility for window frames as the aluminium can be worked into slim frames. Aluminium provides not only greater strength but is also more resistant to the elements and thus not likely to warp or rot. Aluminium is a material with a high strength-to-weight ratio that is easily formed into any custom shape thus Aluminium remains the most common commercial framing material. Its hard surface resists denting and weathering, and it can be painted in virtually any color, including historic window colours, providing long-lasting aesthetic appeal. Aluminium frames are also easy to look after and can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth. They are also available in a wide range of finishes. Manufactured from rigid Aluminium alloy for lasting strength, these windows are durable enough to meet the most stringent of construction requirements. Another advantage Aluminium frames have is the increased level of security. Aluminium windows are engineered to perform at the highest rating for air infiltration, water penetration and structural integrity. Aluminium windows are able to meet many architectural specifications. Traditional Aluminium window frames are best suited for light commercial buildings such as schools, restaurants, and government buildings.

Alitherm- Setting the standard for Aluminium products

Our modern Aluminium windows are designed to last: frames and panels are completely rigid to prevent warping, twisting or sticking. Remember, unlike traditional materials, Aluminium does not absorb water and does not rot or rust.

Smart Systems’ Alitherm windows are made from the finest Aluminium in a choice of styles - bay, side hung or top-hung casement, in fact any design or combination you require witch can incorprate diamond or square leaded lights and Georgian glazing bars if required.

Polyamide technology

Aluminium is known for its resistance to rust, rotting and distortion but the introduction of polyamide technology takes it to a new level – offering improvements in thermal insulation, increased strength and the opportunity for dual colour finish – different colours on the internal and external faces. We can manufacture them to your individual colour requirements using the industry standard RAL colours, which are a range of around 200 colours available in gloss, semi-gloss and matt finishes. As the colours are bespoke for your project, RAL coloured jobs normally take a little while longer to manufacture than standard colours.

Alitherm - Good design is no accident

Aluminium is a naturally strong material. Alitherm utilises this strength to offer slim profiles that are attractive to the eye and produce windows that let in the maximum light - transforming your home both outside and inside.

Security in mind

In today’s security conscious world you can never be too careful.
That’s why Alitherm has been designed to meet the standards of BS 7950. Locking handles come as standard and a choice of locking systems are available including multi-point locks with shootbolts for that extra piece of mind.

Comfort and warmth

To keep out those other unwelcome intruders – bad weather and draughts – durable double weather sealing comes as standard on all opening windows (capable of performing to the severest rating required under British Standards)
Use of polyamide thermal break ensures Alitherm meets the performance requirements of Document L. The windows are designed to reduce heat loss by the use of thermally broken aluminium frames with a polyamide bridge. The polyamide material has a very high resistance to heat transfer from the inner face of a frame to the external face of a frame. The thermally broken frames provide homeowners with windows that have a distinct advantage.
